Tuesday May 22nd Line up
The art of Standing up class by Erik Koconis 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm Bespectacled, 7605 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa The art of Standing up. A 5 week workshop where each class will focus on two fundamental aspects of stand up comedy; -The art of joke writing: Recognizing and developing your comedic voice, brainstorming techniques for developing an idea into a joke and composing a working set. -Standing up: How to hold a one way conversation with room full of people, active practice of material and developing/ sharpening your stage presence. Each class is fully participatory, all participants should be able to walk away with at least 5-10 minutes of material at the end of the course. Writing supplies are strongly recommended. Led by Erik Koconis, 10 year stand up comedian and mediator of The Comedy Conclave. Every Tuesday in May, at Bespectacled in the Tosa Village from 7p.m. to 9:30p.m. $5 per class.
